A Heart of Gratitude
From Pastor Marty
Looking back over the past month, we have so much to be grateful for. Suzanne and I are deeply thankful to serve the Lord alongside you! We truly appreciate your many thoughtful gifts (especially the chocolate and coffee!) and kind cards. We never take for granted how richly God has blessed us through you.
Our study of Daniel has been such an encouragement. Being reminded of God’s sovereignty and faithfulness inspires us to remain faithful to Him. Now that we’ve entered the prophetic portions of the book, I’m even more aware of God’s amazing grace—and more expectant of the soon return of Jesus. “Even so, Lord Jesus, come quickly.”
As we look ahead, this is a wonderful season to be part of what God is doing in and through WEBC. Even when life feels filled with “wormwood and gall,” we remember: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.
‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I will hope in Him.’”
(Lamentations 3:22–23)
I look forward to worshiping and giving thanks with you—at our Night of Worship on Wednesday, November 12, and our Thanksgiving Lunch and Prayer on Sunday, November 16.
With the Psalmist we say:
“May God be gracious to us and bless us
and make His face shine upon us,
that Your way may be known on earth,
Your saving power among all nations.” (Psalm 67:1-2 ESV)
